Simon Dean - Director
Simon has spent nearly 20 years managing major projects. He has provided the first successful examples of Transport and Works Act Applications, Race and Equality Impact Assessments and statutory consultation programmes to the transport industry and managed one of the largest parliamentary Bill deposits for Crossrail.
He has extensive experience in all elements of project planning and is currently developing best practice techniques to meet latest statutory duties.
He has recently joined Transport for London's Oversight Team reviewing the Major Project's portfolio on consents, equality and consultation matters following a four year assignment with Crossrail that involved:
Simon has managed consents activities on numerous projects including Crossrail, the East London Line Extensions, Croydon Tramlink, Skyliner and South Central Franchise.
Simon has been instrumental in developing industry standards and is sharing extensive experience of equality impact assessment by convening a Public Sector Round Table in 2008 with the aim of using EqIA to promote equality in the public sector. He was co-author of an EqIA Manager's Guide and recently managed full assessments of West London Trams, East London Line Project and London Underground's Investment Programme (PPP).
