The conference on Equality Impact Assessment is gathering momentum with
an advertising campaign in full swing and an encouraging number of early
bird delegates having already booked or expressed their intention to register.
Over 40 bookings to date include representatives of Bristol
City Council, London Borough of Tower
Hamlets, Arthritis
Care, London
TravelWatch, Crossrail,
Merseytravel,
West Midlands Regional
Assembly, Atkins,
North Yorkshire
County Council's Integrated Passenger Transport Service and Temple
Group.
The Disability Rights Commission (DRC) have kindly offered to join the team of conference speakers, adding further impetus to this landmark event and will be running a conference stand to promote their campaign encouraging young disabled people to use public transport.
NOMIS have been instructed to undertake a full Equality Impact Assessments for the East London Line Project
