Consultation

Public and stakeholder consultation is a major strength of NOMIS, particularly with equality priority groups, local authorities, Members of Parliament and national organisations.

NOMIS were responsible for setting the standards for statutory consultation when managing the first project to use the Transport and Works Act.

NOMIS were instructed to design and deliver much of the documentation and activities for Crossrail's consultation. This included a range of documents and several hundred posters covering all aspects of project design and development.

NOMIS prepared the analysis presented to the Secretary of State for Transport of the comment received from stakeholders, community groups and the general public during Crossrail's consultation that formed the basis of the decision to authorise progress on the project. NOMIS also prepared published reports of all consultation activity and results.

NOMIS managed the process of project review and design change by Crossrail in response to consultation comment.

NOMIS were responsible for designing and managing the first equality priority group consultation events held by the transport industry. Three events were held for Crossrail where the views of priority group representatives were sought. Two more have since been delivered for TfL's Age Positive Equality Scheme.

NOMIS provided consultation services to all zones on Network Rail's Infrastructure Improvement Project.

NOMIS prepared TfL's Age Positive Equality Scheme consultation document and analysed the resultant feedback before producing the Age Positive Equality Scheme, the first of its kind for service delivery by a major transport organisation.

NOMIS analysed comment received on TfL's Gender Equality Scheme.
