Experience and knowledge within the team is considerable. Director of NOMIS, Simon Dean, set industry standards and precedent when leading the first major transport project to use Transport and Works Act (TWA), London Underground's East London line extensions. Advice has been provided to a number of projects including the South Central Railway franchise, Ivanhoe line, Llandudno Street Tramway, Skyliner, East Sussex Rail Corridor, Crossrail, West London Trams, Cross River Trams, Croydon Tramlink Extension, East London Transit and Greenwich Waterfront. NOMIS ran the first conference on TWA and delivered seminars across the UK to help users of the legislation understand the requirements. Simon Dean managed the preparation of the East London line extensions project for parliamentary Bill deposit on three occasions and was planner for the Croydon Tramlink Bill deposit. Bernard Gambrill led the legislative teams on Channel Tunnel Rail Link and Crossrail. NOMIS provided a range of services to the Crossrail Bill team including negotiation and management of property, legal and referencing contracts, production of a number of policies and coordination of much of the Crossrail parliamentary Bill deposit. NOMIS provided expertise in supporting the Crossrail select committee team. This included design support of the presentation system as well as technical expertise in operating the system during committee sessions and providing all electronic exhibits. Bernard Gambrill and Simon Dean have acted as witness in parliamentary select committee. Simon Dean has acted as witness at public inquiry and station closure proceedings.
